Helping Main Roads learn lessons from outsourcing

Situation: Main Roads WA is over halfway through 10-year, $1.5 billion road maintenance contracts. It wishes to capture lessons learnt from contract stakeholders.

Our solution: Boronia Corporation led a team of specialist community consultation and evaluation researchers, gathering qualitative feedback from stakeholders around Western Australia.

Results: Our analysis is informing Main Roads' position on future road maintenance arrangements.

Management review for a large hospitality group

Situation: A large hospitality group was suffering from demotivated staff and required a review of management processes.

Our solution: We examined operational processes from a quality and efficiency perspective, and reviewed business models in scenario planning for the future.

Results: Our recommendations allowed the group to develop a management structure that was more effective in staff management, with a resulting improvement in efficiency and motivation.
